Polypropylene is a plastic of olefin class having low specific gravity.  It has good chemical and electrical characteristics and is rigid. It is not recommended to use it under 0°C because its mechanical characteristics decline. Under normal conditions, it is used within +0°C and +100°C.
It is used in engineering, chemical and electrical sectors. The most common application is the production of storage tanks as well as the related parts and equipments. Polypropylene tanks are preferred to store chemical substances, water purification and waste water plants.

Areas of usage:
Polypropylene can be processed with all methods applied to thermoplastics. In the injection molding technique, by using molds having very little details, it is possible to produce parts having a very smooth surface and dimension stability.
Joints made of polypropylene can be bent 3 million times. They are produced with molding, cold processing or extrusion methods.
BOPP (bioryente polypropylene) film is used a biaxial oriented film. In recent years, BOPP, is widely used in the packing of dry foods and textile products.
The fiber is obtained in a refrigerated area where after the extrusion of polypropylene it is conducted from the length and breath of nipples and hen wounded to a roller. This kind of fiber gives gloss to fabric. PP fibers have been the fundamental inputs of textile industry.
Monofilament obtained from polypropylene and fabrics woven from strips are used in the production of sacks and big-bags.
